EDIFY Humanity Is The 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Extension of ASCRIBE

Before ASCRIBE there was EDIFY Humanity, a non-profit organization that focused on community initiatives and providing resources to our communities. When we are working under the name EDIFY Humanity that means the work we are doing is a labor of love for you, our community, and the culture.

We want to be a catalyst for positive change, and since our beginnings in 2000, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Non-Profit Organization upon support, empowerment, and progress.

We, EDIFY Humanity and Sonia Lewis will always guarantee the following:

Instill pride in BIPOC history and contributions that are the foundation of American history.

Make representation matter, the mirror reflects possibility, and our scholars will see their possibilities.

Hold the educational system accountable for the receivement disparities and targeted policies that built and perpetuated the school-to-prison pipeline.

Teach scholars the importance of being a catalyst for social justice through advocacy and agency inclusion.

Inspire leaders who see value in their whole identity, skilled with the ability to call out systems that harm, and make personal decisions that protect their physical, mental, and spiritual selves and growth.
